How to Submit a Hair Sample for Testing

Step 1 – Complete customer online submission form

If you are unable to print your mailing slip, clearly write the customer’s name and unique redemption code on their hair sample bag.

Step 3 – Take the customer’s hair sample

  • We require 4 to 5 strands if the hair sample is longer than an inch. We require 8 to 10 strands if the hair is shorter than an inch.
  • We test any body hair, however, please do not send in pubic hair.
  • When cutting the hair, please ensure you cut as close to the root as possible.
  • Hair dye does not affect testing.
  • Once the hair sample is collected, please place the strands into a small sealable bag ensuring the hair remains dry and secure during transit.

Step 4 – Post your sample

Please attach the unique barcode from the mailing slip securely to your sealable hair sample bag (making sure that the barcode is not folded as this helps booking in your sample once received by the lab team).

Place the small sealable bag in a secure mailing envelope.

Please send your sample to the address on the confirmation email with the correct postage applied.

Step 5 – Get your results

Once your sample has been received at our lab we will send you an email notification to let you know our lab team have checked the sample successfully and it has been passed on for analysis.

Results will be sent to the email address entered during test submission within 3-5 days of this notification.

PLEASE NOTE: You may need to check your spam folder for the first batch of results and add our email address as a ‘safe sender’.
